This application can be used to turn your android device into real Metal Detector. By measuring the variation in magnetic field values measured by the device’s magnetic sensor, the application can be used to detect the presence of Metal and Magnets near your device. The default value of Earth’s magnetic field is around 25 μT-65 μT which varies over the surface of the earth. This is the default reading of the metal detector.
Depending upon your phone, this application can be used to detect different metals and magnets over a sufficient distance. This application can also be used to detect the presence of metals such as wires etc. behind the wall or other metallic objects below the ground surface.
If the metal object is detected, there is variation in measured values and the device will Vibrate and Beep (Or just Vibrate or Beep) depending on the settings chosen by you. The readings will be reported in both analog and digital scale.

====== How to use? ======
The usage is very simple. Just start the app and hover the device over the surface where you want to detect the metal objects. If there is presence of metal or magnet nearby you can observe the variation in readings shown in the app. If you move closer to the metal, the readings cross the threshold value triggering vibration and alarm (**Note: you can configure the threshold value and alarm settings).
====== Settings ======
You can set the threshold value in settings. If the readings cross this value the alarm will be triggered and device vibrates. To configure settings, just click on settings icon > Alert Level/Sound/Vibration settings.
====== Calibration ======
Due to repeated exposure to metals and magnets near your device, it is likely that your device sensor may report readings with low accuracy. This can be overcome by calibration. To calibrate your device’s sensors, point your phone upwards and move in the direction of figure “8” or follow the steps provided in your apps calibration menu.
*It is highly recommended that you calibrate your device every time you start your app to avoid erroneous readings.
====== Common Problems ======
*Why does my app report wrong and erroneous reading?
The magnetic field sensor is affected by electronic devices and devices which emit electromagnetic waves such ad T.V and P.C. So make sure you are away from them.

Other reason is low accuracy of your device’s sensor. Please follow the calibration procedure to overcome this and get accurate readings.
*My app does not trigger alarm even when the sound is checked in settings menu?
This is probably because the volume of your device is low. Please increase the volume by using volume buttons.
*My apps readings do not vary even when metal is present near it?
This app detects metals by observing variation in magnetic field. So this app cannot be used to detect the metals with low magnetic properties.

Интерфейс и структура программы:

Интерфейс главного меню программы представлен пользователям неактивным экранным табло на котором расположен индикатор определения металла. Для работы используется встроенный компас устройства. Некоторые металлы, такие как алюминий, не обнаруживаются.

При нажатии на специальную софт клавишу на смартфоне, возникает функциональное меню программы, содержащее в себе пункты, необходимые для оптимизации работы с программой.

После рассмотрения интерфейса главного меню программы, переходим к рассмотрению функционального меню программы:

Calibrate/Zero - с помощью данного функционального пункта мы можем провести автоматическую калибровку детектора определения металлов.

Settings - с помощью данного функционального пункта мы можем работать с основными настройками программы. Настройки программы позволяют вкл./выкл. параметр вибрации и проигрыша звуковых эффектов...:

В заключении обзора программы RD Mute хотелось бы заметить, что ранее конечно же приходилось сталкиваться с вариациями программы на различных платформах. Но, для платформы андроид данный софт имеется пока что в единственном экземпляре.

Подведем итоги, определим положительные и отрицательные аспекты работы программы и сделаем общий вывод:

(+) : К плюсам можно отнести интуитивно простой интерфейс программы; возможность определения наличия металлов ; возможность повесить свое звуковое работы порограммы; данный софт распространяется бесплатно.

(-): К минусам можно отнести тот факт, что некоторые металлы, такие как алюминий, не обнаруживаются

Вывод : программа Metal Detector в процессе работы показала себя очень интересной, но, в то же время довольно сыроватой утилитой...

Metal Detector Pro 2017 app uses your devices magnetic sensor to measure magnetic field values and turns any Android into a real metal detector. Data is displayed in µT (micro Testla). 1µT = 10mG (milli Gauss). The magnetic field in nature ranges from 25 to 65 µT (0.25 to 0.65 G). Any higher measurement is an indication of metal in the area. When there is metal in the area, magnetic field increases. App works best detecting ferromagnetic materials, such as iron and can’t detect non-ferromagnetic materials such as aluminum. App works best detecting metals up to 15cm away.

Metal Detector Pro 2017 app is simple to use, just open it and move it around. If the magnetic field values rise there is metal in the area. Accuracy of the app is entirely dependent on the magnetic sensor in your device and is affected by electrical equipment such as TVs, PCs… due to electromagnetic waves.

If the app does not work as it should then the problem is in your magnetic sensor. Maybe your device does not have one. Or try to initialize the sensors by pointing your phone up and rotate it in a figure 8 pattern. Remove magnetic covers from your device for accurate readings. Magnetic covers will influence the magnetic sensor in your Android device. If your device"s case contains metal elements remove the case before using the app.

Ghost hunters also use Metal Detectors for ghost detection as they claim that ghosts have an influence on magnetic fields. I am not sure about that but please let me know if it’s true.
